Need the right bulb for your needs. I use a 40 watt LED one. A little Brite at times, but can see in the dark. Well constructed.

It’s an excellent product for the price you pay. You can’t expect it to look like a $140 lamp, and it’s not. It needs a smaller bulb like A9, or it would be shining in your eyes on your desk, where I have been using it. Neck flexes well and hold up good.

This is the perfect lamp for my purposes. I have a small desk, so I didn’t want anything too big at the same time, I wanted something that could put out a big light for reading.
